Another Day at Petak Sembilan
Sunday, April 14, 2013
I have taken many pictures of Petak Sembilan. Its reputation
as the oldest Chinese quarter in Jakarta has somehow attracted people with
cameras like me to capture its daily life. Many times, my pictures are flat and
soundless and I feel like I have covered every corner of that place. Yet,
I never want to stop going back.
On Sunday last week, together with my three colleagues, all were architects, I returned to that quarter just to check whether there were still interesting moments or subjects I could capture. All photos below were taken with Fuji X10 and re-touched with a photo effect software.
Thank you for coming.
